VK has held senior management roles with Shell (BG Group), Enron, ONGC and Genel Energy during his 35-year international career. He has a proven track record of delivering business objectives safely and efficiently, with deep expertise in engineering, production, maintenance, asset integrity, and process safety across offshore and onshore operations.

As Executive Head of HSE, ESG, and Risk at Genel Energy, VK led the transformation of Iraq operations (150 kbopd), achieving 10 years without serious incidents or tier 1 process safety events over 20+ million hours.

During his career, VK developed and certified world-class management systems (ISO-14001/45001), secured timely regulatory approvals, and executed major projects safely. He also developed an ESG strategy that reduced GHG intensity to <10 kgCO2e/boe, improved sustainability ratings, and achieved top CDP scores.

VK previously held global HSSE leadership roles at Shell (BG Group), consistently improving safety performance by over 50%. He holds a B. Tech Honours in Electrical Engineering and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Technology.
